The Bible says that "many are called, but few are chosen." If you're one of the chosen, a lot of times it sets you apart from your peers and other kids your age. You may be persecuted and friends may turn their backs on you, but be encouraged!

"And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God." (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV)

Visionaries, or young people that take a step of faith to be used of God, can often at times be forced to stand alone. People may not understand your passion and chose to not be associated with you. You might not be considered "cool" or in the "popular crowd." You might not get pats on the back, but instead jealous stares as you are called upon to lead.

But be encouraged in the Lord your God! In the end, those who try to hurt you, will desire what you worked so hard to obtain. Know that God is using you, and even when you must stand alone, if you stay committed, God will use you in a mighty and anointed way!
